Calming Herbs for Children Aromatherapy

Children are wonderfully entertaining. They amuse us with their innocence and wide-eyed wonder and have a marvelously fresh way of looking at the world. However, at times, they may become very hyper and agitated. This is true if children consume too much sugar, though some children are very hyper active purely by nature. Many of these children are diagnosed as have conditions such as “Attention Deficit Disorder”. Chamomile is one of the safest and gentlest herbs and has been used with infants as a natural remedy.

Lavender is also very beneficial in the use of promoting calmness in excitable or restless children. If you are going to add Lavender and Chamomile to carrier oil for massage oil, or if you want to add it to your child’s bath, it is recommended that you perform a sensitivity test on your child, at least 14 hours before using it.
