Linda asks…
opalescence?
Opalescence teeth whitening system.
I was given the little sering things… how do i use them?
admin answers:
Brush your teeth before use. Apply a thin line across the front of your molds only (you don’t need to do the back, no one will see the back of your teeth anyway) and put them on. Leave them in for as long as the instruction tell you to or a little less time, in case your teeth are sensitive.
Susan asks…
What is a reliable online source for opalescence refill gels for teeth whitening?
I’m looking for a reliable source for refill gels of opalescence, one that will not send you an expired product. Thanks so much!
admin answers:
You can obtain this from your dentist – it should be fresh. Or you can check out Amazon, see ad above.
Good Luck
Paul asks…
How many days in a row should I use Opalescence whitening gel?
When I did whitening with Opalescence 15% gel a few years ago my dentist told me to wear them overnight for 2 weeks, then do it once or twice a month to help keep them white.
With the newer 35% gel it says not to use it longer than 30 minutes, but I’m curious as to how many days I should use it? 2 weeks like the 15%? Or will 1 week be okay?
admin answers:
Generally speaking with bleaches, you want to follow the directions (in this case, no more than 30 min/day at a time), but use them as long as you need to (e.g., 1 to 2 to 3 weeks) to get the results you are after.
You should ask your dentist though… the one who is supplying you with 35% kind. Also, you can decrease the frequency that you use them, if you are getting too much sensitivity, e.g., every 2-3 days. You will still get the same result, but it will take more weeks.
Sharon asks…
How long does opalescence tooth whitening gel last?
I got some from the dentist last year and never used it. I want to use it now and am wondering if it is still good or if it expires?
Thanks!
admin answers:
This depends on whether or not you kept it in the refrigerator. If not, I’d assume the potency is down, but it’s not going to hurt anything to use it other than the inconvenience. If it was me, I’d give it a go since you’ve already paid for it. Good luck!
