What are headaches? Headaches are pain experienced in the head, which can be mild or severe in intensity. Headaches can be harmless or they can be serious, even life threatening.

Meperidine and metoclopramide are used to treat acute attacks of migraines. There are prescription and non-prescription medications for migraines. Depressants are also used sometimes to treat those with migraines.
Can you prevent a migraine? You may be able to reduce a migraine by avoiding factors that may be associated with past migraines such as emotional situations, or environmental factors.
What causes a tension headache? It is thought that tension headaches are caused by muscle tension around the neck or shoulder. Tension headaches are usually mild and not debilitating.
What causes sinus headaches? Sinus infections and allergies can cause a sinus headache. Your nasal passages or sinus area may become infected with a bacteria, virus or even a fungus and cause you to have a sinus infection and sinus headache.
How is a sinus headache treated? Your doctor will give you pain medications and possibly an antibiotic, nasal vasoconstrictors or nasal sprays.
Your doctor can answer any questions that you have about your particular headache. Anyone can get a headache including children. Headaches can be harmless or serious. They can be painful, or mildly irritating. They can be life threatening and severe pain should never be ignored. Headaches can be a result of an action like over-drinking or they can be a symptom of a disease such as meningitis.
