The humble bath has been around since the beginning of mankind, and healing baths are becoming a regular part of healthy living. But just how do healing baths work and what can they do to improve your health?

Well, relaxation for one is a very important part of a healthy body. We must allow our bodies time to recuperate and give the mind some stress free time. Hot baths are used to open pores and allow any good herbal or essential oils remedies to penetrate the body. Also impurities can come out. Tired muscles and joints become supported by the water and so the stress of gravity is removed for a short time. Inhaling the steam can help respiratory problems and clear congestion as well as disinfecting the lungs.

Of course, the main aim of a bath is to cleanse the build up of daily dirt and grime. Personal hygiene not only cleanses us but strips away the negative energies left over from a busy day which may interrupt our ability to sleep well. A cool or cold bath can be invigorating and give energy. Think about what you are getting in a bath. Aromatherapy, massage as you wash, cleansing, energy rebuilding, relaxation, support for tired bodies and stress relief, just to name a few.

It’s no wonder the magical bath has been around since the beginning of time. There’s no need to pay big money. Your bath with herbs or oils at home is great too.
