Aromatherapy Spas

When you think of spas, you might fantasize about a secluded space by the ocean equipped with the latest high-tech facilities and accessories. However, if you think about it, spas are really just about pampering and relaxation, with a little bit of privacy. And that means with a little bit of imagination, you can create your own home aromatherapy spa.

Most at home spas can be achieved at a very low cost. Here are some home spa treatments you can easily create on a budget:

Create a Spa Accessory Kit:

This kit is for your personal use. Keep it under the bed or in the attic, if necessary. Fill this with some favorite and exotic products like:   Revitalizing bath salts, loofah sponges, bubble baths, exfoliating sea salt, essential oils for aromatherapy, body creams, scented candles, etc. You know what you like. You do not have to fill this all at once, but as you find great products add them to your basket.

Aromatherapy Spa:

Save some candles that are used only on special spa days. Select by color, aroma, shape, or whatever makes you feel good.

For more ways to enjoy aromatherapy in your bath and/or spa room, you can use essential aromatherapy oils. You can also buy a small diffuser for use in the special area you have chosen and fill it with the smell of the day. You can also place a reed diffuser placed near the tub to add extra scent to your bath area.

Lighting – Set the Mood

You can help duplicate the mood of a spa by dimming lights or by lighting some candles. You can also replace light bulbs with colored bulbs to enhance the mood. Peach or pink bulbs will change the “aura” of a room and help bring in the spa experience.

Enjoy a Spa Bath:

Fill you bath with hot water and add Epsom Salts to rejuvenate your body. Here is another place where essential oils can added – use those that are best for relaxation or stimulation depending upon your desire of the day. Tehre are many other bath accessories you can have in your kit – experiment.

An inflatable pillow that attaches to the bathtub can increase your feeling of luxury. Or try at Full Body Bathtub Lounger for a little added decadence. With your favorite drink in hand, and a good book, if you like to read, or some pleasant music, your tub can take you to spa-land.

Plan on spending at least 30 minutes of relaxing in the bath. When ready to get out, make sure you have some especially thick, spa quality towels, once again reserved only for this day. Then put on a Kimono robe or other fancy robe that says today is your special day.

Enjoy Other Spa Activities (If you have the time.)

Facials

A facial can be enjoyed while relaxing in the tub. There are many facial recipes that use all natural ingredients you can find on the Internet or use that special product…

Manicures and Pedicures

After the bath, is the perfect time to give yourself a manicure, pedicure, or even both!.

Eye Therapy

Complete your beauty regime with some eye therapy. Lightly place damp tea bags or sliced cucumber on your eyelids, lie down and relax for a few minutes. Finish with a little eye cream to put ads you end a nice, relaxing day of pampering.
