This means that in whatever activity you chose, you should start with a smaller routine, such as working out for five minutes. From here, you can build up on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Each time you increase your time, you should feel your body being pushed a little more. However, too much of a push can be bad for your body, so make sure that you are being gentle with yourself as well. If you have not exercised for a long time, you can start with simple things, such as stretching for a certain time period each day. This will begin to loosen your muscles and prepare them for higher levels of activity. From here, you can begin moderate levels of endurance activities, then begin to increase your workout.
