Natural Cleaning Methods

Mother Nature has provided many natural healthy cleaning methods to keep your home sparkling.

White Vinegar– Diluted in water you can safely and effectively use it the clean bench tops, counters, white-good surfaces and splash back areas, outer toilet area. Just pop it into a spray bottle with an equal amount of water. Undiluted makes quick work of the toilet bowl with a brush scrubber, and also works well on shower head scum build-up if you can leave it to soak. Pop a cup into the rinse cycle in the laundry to replace commercial softeners.

Baking Soda–also known as Bicarbonate of Soda. This substance is mildly abrasive and naturally deodorizes so can be used for that cleaning you need a light scrubbing ability.

Rubbing Alcohol–Methylated Spirits has the immediate evaporating effect and makes windows and mirrors sparkle. It’s also fabulous for chrome finishes. Mix it in with same amount of water and a little white vinegar and use in a spray bottle.

Furniture Polish–There is a natural way to add a sheen to your timber furniture and other surfaces. not the floor as it may make it slippery. Add a cup of olive oil to a half cup of lemon juice and rub it onto the wood and using a dry cloth polish off.

Lemon Juice–is a natural bleaching product plus it has a wonderful deodorizing capacity. You can use it directly on a cloth to help with bathroom and kitchen stains.
