Spiritual Health–What Does It All Mean?

Our spirituality is a very individual thing and is often linked with the culture we are raised in. Some people think that having a religion is the only way to find spirituality but that isn’t true. Being a part of a certain set of religious beliefs and practices is one way to be spiritual but not the only way. Religions believe in God in various forms, sometimes the same God with differing beliefs. Or perhaps a different God such as Buddha.

Some believe in a higher being, that God is one and the same and known in many different forms, some do not believe in a God but in the spiritual being of their higher selves. Spirituality comes in many different forms and has been a part of the world since time began. The common threads to any spirituality whether religious or not is the need to be considerate of others, and to treat people how we would like to be treated. Spirituality is an area everyone needs to develop to be truly happy.

Often when people have all the money and material possessions they want and still feel something is missing or they aren’t happy they look toward spiritual development. it can be known as finding yourself, or even having a mid-life crisis. Spirituality brings with it the realization that material possessions, money or other people cannot make us happy. We must find our path to happiness and then we can truly enjoy our life and loved ones.
