      Ginger Turmeric Tea

    • ½ teaspoon freshly grated ginger, about ¼-inch of a 1-inch diameter root (peel before grating if conventionally grown)

    • ½ teaspoon ground turmeric

    • 1 teaspoon – 1 tablespoon local, raw honey (optional)

    • Bring 2 cups of water to boil. In a small teapot, or a quart-sized Mason jar combine the ginger and turmeric. Pour the water over the herbs. Cover the teapot or jar. Steep for 1 minute. Strain into two tea cups. Serve with the optional honey, added to taste.
