Regaining your Concentration with Aromatherapy

There are many reasons why people have a difficult time concentrating. Some factors include stress, anxiety, and fear while others may have trouble with their memories and experience a hard time focusing. Anxiety can affect your concentration and your ability to focus. This can be devastating and hinder your work performance. It may also make it difficult to perform your daily tasks. When people are stressed and experience a lack of concentration their whole being can suffer. Fear can cause a lack of concentration because people will tend to focus on the source of the fear or anxiety. They will continually worry and fret and that worry will hinder their ability to focus on the task at hand. When people become depressed, they often lose the ability to concentrate and develop mental confusion.

Fatigue is another reason why people may develop a lack of concentration. When the body is tired, the brain suffers and it may be hard to remember things or focus. The ability to concentrate is very important to achieving your goals and to performing your job at your utmost ability. Without good concentration, mistakes and accidents may occur. If you aren’t’ focusing on your job or the task at hand, you may make an irreversible mistake. Therefore, it is very important to release tension, stress, worry, and fear and to keep your mind stimulated, alert and focused. How many times has it been said that a car accident occurred because someone stopped paying attention to what they were doing, or lost their focus. Fatigue is often blamed for many accidents whether they are auto related, work related, or even in the home. It has also been said that many accidents involving children occur when parents are tired and can no longer focus on what their child is doing.

There are many essential oils and natural herbal remedies that can help stimulate the senses and the mind and will help you to regain your concentration and focus. One of the most effective methods is to release tension, stress, worry, and fear and relax the body. You can achieve this through a full body massage or by taking a long relaxing bath. Then you need to go to sleep and get a full night’s rest. You cannot expect to wake up refreshed and energized if you are only sleeping four or five hours a night. It is amazing how long we will go without getting proper rest, and continue driving ourselves to work harder and perform better.

You can create a tension breaking bath oil by combining 4 drops of Violet oil with 2 drops of Rose oil, and 2 drops of Ylang Ylang. Mix these with 1 ounce of carrier oil, such as Sweet Almond, Jojoba, Olive, or Macadamia oil. Add this to your bath water and soak for at least 20-30 minutes. IF you like, add some relaxing music such as spiritual songs, ocean and seashore, or rains showers and burn some candles. Chamomile tea is also very relaxing and will help remove tension and promote relaxation.
